PSIGMA aims at developing methodologies to integrate formal modeling of problems in management with cognitive and subjective aspects. An important instrument of integration has been the representation of qualitative information (eliciting unknown unknowns concerning the problem) through Concept maps, Cognitive maps, Thinking maps and Mind maps.
The group develops research reported in advised DSc theses, MSc dissertations and published papers. The seminal conference organized by the group, SHE 2012 - Sustainability, Health and Education, delivered research results available in conference videos (English and Portuguese), presentation ppt and posters (see Library in this portal). Several applications have been carried out in the areas of health, education, sustainability, transport and energy.
